The Trip Back

Today, 10/14/05 we left Sante Fe, New Mexico to Hollbrook, Arizona, Home to the famouse Wigwam hotel where you can actually stay in a tee-pee. This airport is right on route 66 and they plan on a new development using route 66 logos in the sidewalks and streets; (more to come). then we took off for Flagstaff Arizona where we are spending the night. Flagstaff airport is kin of like our airport on Catalina Island but it is 7,000 feet in the air. A great stop over, great breweries in town.
We have 11 more airports and approx. 400 nautical miles to go, so we are planning a Sunday arival.

10/14/05 Hello everyone! We have not had access to a computer for a few days so here is an update.
We are moving along very well and plan on being back this Sunday 10/16. We are leaving Sante Fe this morning 10/14/05. Sante Fe was not one of the original planned stops but we found out that the old Route 66 went through Sante Fe, New Mexico so we followed this route for our final stop yesterday. This is a great town and a good find for the old route. There is also stories here on the old Sante Fe Trail. (may be another trip ha ha)
We have a lot of great pictures and great stories for organizing a great "Barnstorming Route 66 " presentation.

Thrs 10/6/05
Hello from your Barnstormers! We are leaving Springfield today and stopping at Jones Lebanon (LBO) then St. Clair (K39) then to St. Louis, where we will be for two days.
The weather took a change overnight from 80 to 40 degrees but it is clear and the colder wether is good for the performance of the airplane.
Thanks for all your time spent on this adventure!
